Mark Junor is an innovative fashion designer and the founder of kramronuJ.Designs. His greatest passion is the arts so he is also a freelance model, makeup artist, and a professionally trained dancer at the National School of Dance in Guyana with more than ten years of experience.
Mark began his designing journey in 2010. However, he was first recognised as a fashion designer in 2013 when he was awarded 2nd runner up at Centre Stage, an Emancipation production by ACDA and Kross Kolor Entertainment. This win paved the way for his first designing job in 2014 when he created a stunning black and pink dress for one of the delegates. Recognition from this led to an invite from the Guyana Police Force that very year to present a collection at their annual Easter Hat Show. The collection was named KramronuJ.BLACK. In 2015, Mark designed four evening gowns for the Miss Summer Blaze pageant, one of which copped the best gown prize. He describes this as one of his proudest moments. Later that year, he went on to present his second collection “SEXES Fantasy” at Reflection.
Mark’s accomplishments as a designer are countless. He won best evening gown at the Miss African Roots Guyana pageant in 2014 and again in 2017; best evening wear, best costume and best creative wear at the Miss Independence Guyana pageant in 2014; best evening gown at the Mother and Daughter pageant Guyana in 2015;abeing apart of Guyana fashion week was one of my many dreams as a young designer growing up, he was placed in the top three for upcoming fashion designer for 2016. sponsoring a young lady for another local pageant, and best evening gown at the Miss Culture West Demerara pageant in 2018 was his reward. He made his international debut in July 2018 at Miss Venus Model Caribbean in Anguilla where he won the best red carpet wear prize, and on October 27, 2018, he presented his 2018 collection “She killed Death” at Suriname Fashion Week.
Mark is currently working on his annual fashion show called “Unchained Through Fashion” which began in 2017 with the intention of giving young designers, models and makeup artists the opportunity to create and grow. Mr Junor’s masterpieces are inspired by the human body. He describes his aesthetic as sexy, couture and flamboyant, and says that he loves when his pieces can make his clients feel comfortable while being slightly revealing. He uses a lot of black in his designs as this colour makes him feel strong and comfortable, the same feeling he hopes to inspire in his clients. “If you have it flaunt it and if you don’t kramronuJ.Designs IT”.
